01 / scope

What this policy covers

This policy applies to Pinwicket's public website, including the verified-deal directory, deal detail pages, and the tracked links that hand you to a third-party offer. It covers information Pinwicket or its service providers receive through those surfaces.

It does not govern a golf operator, retailer, booking service, analytics provider, or other third party's own website or app. When you follow an offer, review that partner's privacy notice because its collection and use of information are controlled by the partner.

02 / what we receive

Information connected to a visit

Pinwicket receives information you choose to send when you email the desk, such as your email address, name, message, and any details you include. Please do not send payment-card numbers, passwords, health information, or other sensitive information by email.

Like a typical public website, our hosting and security systems may receive technical request information such as an IP address, browser and device characteristics, requested URL, referring page, timestamps, and error or security events. We use this information to deliver, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the site.

When you use a tracked deal handoff, Pinwicket records an aggregate outbound-click count for that offer. The partner may also receive ordinary referral and browser information and may associate the visit with a booking or purchase under its own attribution rules.

  • Pinwicket does not require an account or password to browse the directory.
  • We do not sell your personal information for money or use it to process a booking or payment.

03 / browser storage

Cookies and local storage

Pinwicket may store a randomly generated browser identifier in local storage for an anonymous page-load analytics beacon. The identifier is not your name or email address; it helps distinguish repeat loads in aggregate. The site may also use local storage to remember a display preference such as light or dark mode.

Pinwicket does not currently use its own advertising cookies, account-login cookies, or cross-site advertising profile. Your browser, hosting provider, security tools, or a partner may still use cookies or similar technologies for their own purposes. Blocking browser storage may disable a preference or anonymous measurement, but it should not prevent you from reading public deal pages.

04 / service providers

Analytics, hosting, and partner tracking

The platform that hosts and supports Pinwicket may process technical request data, security events, and the anonymous page-load beacon on Pinwicket's behalf. Access is limited to providing, securing, and maintaining the service.

Offer partners may set cookies, use pixels, or use other technologies to measure referrals, remember a session, personalize an offer, prevent fraud, or attribute a commission. Those practices begin or become relevant on the partner's properties, and the partner's privacy choices control them. We do not control or delete partner-held data.

05 / use and retention

Why we use information

Pinwicket uses information to operate and secure the site, understand whether offers and pages are useful, count referrals, respond to messages, investigate abuse or errors, meet legal obligations, and communicate changes to this policy when appropriate.

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, including operational, security, accounting, dispute, and legal needs. Retention varies by the type of record. Aggregate offer click counts may remain as part of the offer record even when they are no longer useful for a particular report.

06 / your choices

Questions, requests, and changes

You can clear local storage or adjust browser settings to limit browser storage. You can also decline to follow a partner link. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about the personal data Pinwicket holds, subject to identity checks and legal exceptions.

Send a privacy question or request to pinwicket-4@polsia.app. If your question concerns a partner's records, contact that partner directly; we may need to redirect the request because we do not control its data.

We may update this policy as Pinwicket changes. The effective and updated dates above identify the current version. If a change is material, we will make the revised policy available on this page before or when the change takes effect, where required by law.
